I have a 2004 Grand Prix GPT. Engine,auto-trans, complete with harness, PCM, body control module, etc., installed ina Lambo kit.

When I turn the key on, cluster lights up, no warnings on display, except ABS andtraction control which are not being used. When
I turn key to start, cluster goes dark, fuel pump does not run, engine does not crank.

Italmost seems like trying to start in gear. Anyone know how Auto-trans neutral switch works?

OBDcode reader will not make connection to PCM. I have Alldata wiring diagrams, but, boy are they complicated! Any hints where to starttrouble-shooting? Don't want to haul itto a dealer.

Check the fuse for the cig lighter. This is tied to the OBD port IIRC. When you turn the key, does EVERYTHING electrical shut off? If so, check all your grounds and battery cables to be sure they are tight. A loose cable will do this.

Put it in neutral, see if it starts.

Roll the car forward/backward a bit and see if it starts then.

Check your battery connections, and make sure you are at 12.4v+

Check your cig lighter fuse. Replace it with a known good fuse and see if you get anything.

Check all your grounds, and be triple sure they are secure.

Disconnect the battery and the PCM. Re attach the PCM connections and ensure they are installed correctly. Re connect the battery.

If that all fails, burn it to the ground.
