Alright, I have been starved from cars/parts/tools/fun for the last six months. My wheels are turning again and i am hungry to get back in the shop again and create another monster.

I am curious as if you think that you could rotate the rotors 180* and re bolt them inside the s/c housing so that the hub was essentially turining the passenger side rotor?

i also was curious as to know if it would be easy to machine some holes ( in the assumption that it can be done, but not bolted) to bolt it down.

I don't have a s/c in front of me at the moment and im starvin' over here to get back to designing again. I will be interested in getting some intelignet answers. If you are curious as to why i may want to do this, please check out my Garages > merlin's Garage - FQuick.com

Are you essentially wanting to flip the supercharger around where the snout faces the drivers side?

If not, what advantage would there be in having the snout drive the other rotor?

I think he means rotate the rotor pack in the blower case so the snout is now on the rear rotor.

But, wouldn't that blow air up instead of down?

Crap, in that case I have no clue as to how you would go about doing it. And I would have the same thought as Sabre, wouldnt that blow air up?

I want to chop the snout down so that the pulley is really close to the base of the snout, then flip the supercharger around so that the pulley is on the otherside of the engine. then mount that whole thing into my camaro so that the pulley is in the back. then run a jackshaft down the side of the supercharger and attach a pulley to that.

then i can save some space in my maro for the m90 and simplify the design.

BUT, i need to swap the snout to face the traditional gtp's firewall so that when all is said and done, the supercharger rotates the correct way.

I have been looking at a few pictures and it appears that the holes are not quite axially symmetric. may need some finagling to get it to work.

Well if you could get your hands on a Holden M90 I think that would solve your problems if I understand you correctly. It was made for rear wheel drive applications on the 3800 or something like that.

The holden stick out to far to fit. It also gets in the way of the coils, fuel lines and brake booster. Remember that the holden m90 is designed for a car where the driver controls are on the opposite side of the car.

I do have some holden parts on the maro at the moment though.

you can see the original design that i built and tested in my Garages > merlin's Garage - FQuick.com

It ran like a scalded dog, but I desperately miss my air conditioning.

Don't worry. I did alot of research before i did my first swap. I spend about six months making sure that the swap was possible and what my tolerances and my confinements were.

My design was the best at the time, but i am bored with it and want a little more compact/reproducible design. This is the idea that came to me in a dream ohhhhhohhh

I tell you what, I wont knock anyone that gets ideas in dreams at all.

I hope you keep us updated to what you do, it would be interesting to see the process unfold.

lots of measurements. gotta get that damm thing created and put into pro-e so i can create what i need.

I would more importantly be interested in a spare snout since thats what will be getting the chop.
