    Looking for comparisons on set-ups.

What I'd like to know on set-up:

    Motor L67/L36 (for compression)
    Gear
Cam (installed straight up or degreed) or rocker ratio if stock cam
Timing chain (if stock L67 or L36)
    power adder

    On mine:
    27.21mph
    L67
    2.93
    Stock/1.91
    Stock/L67
    M90

    This should be interesting!

    Ill play.

    19.23 MPH
    L32
    2.93
    Stock/Stock
    Stock/L32
    G5 M90

Mods at the time were 3.5 pulley, DP, HAI. Also another factor to think about is tire choice as well. I ran slicks. My MPH was 98MPH with street tires and a horrid 60 foot. My MPH went down to 96 with slicks and cracked a 13.9 with a 1.97 60 foot.

I'm gathering info from several sites, and you are a little on the low side. Kind of interesting, since the '97 had a true 1.6 ratio, seems like the others with a similar set-up are picking up more MPH than you that have the later years.

Since the factory switched to a 1.66 ratio in '99, those pick up about 2mph over your set-up.

Do you know if the valvetain is all stock original for the '97 or the L32? The L32 should have the 1.66 ratio on them.

The guy I bought the car from said it was a complete 05 L32 drop in engine. I thought the back half was a bit low myself. I chalked that up to stock catback and the slicks. The 1/8 mile MPH was 77.51.

The catback on these cars are horrid. The mufflers drop to a 2' in and out IIRC. I know alot of people have told me a catback alone would probably help out quite a bit.

Between the 1/8 and 1/4 mile. Reveals a lot about top end HP, since it mostly removes traction from the equation. Take your 1/4mph and subtract the 1/8mph

You have headers? I didn't feel my cat back was all that bad until I was low 13's. Wonder if the res is plogged?

They arent on the car yet. I have my old SLPs in the trunk. I wanna hit fair on Friday and get the flex fixed and get a catback. The Regals also have a singe out catback as well. No y pipe to help exhaust any bit.

The next track outting should be alot different.

    Here we go:

    21.32

    Motor = L67
    Gear = 2.93
Cam (installed straight up or degreed) or rocker ratio if stock cam = Stock Cam, 1.6:1
    Timing chain (if stock L67 or L36) = L67
power adder = M90, Stock pulley

    Mods
    MSD wires
    ZZP PCM
    Open cone intake
3" exhaust (no res or cat)
    180* Tstat

    I think that is everything.

Best is 32 so far, but I'm looking for data that shows a trend. Mostly because of cam advance, and rocker changes.

    26mph
    L67
    2.93
    S1x, straight-up
    single rollmaster installed straight-up
    Gen5 M90, 3.2 pulley

Wish I could have taken my XP to the track, it definitely had more upper RPM power than the S1x. I'm guessing it would have given me another 3-4mph.

    Ron,

Where did you get the information about the cam timing differences between the L36 and L67? I'm trying to find out some info from Intense about the JP roller and they said they cannot confirm anything...
