Trans fluid normal, power steering fluid normal, sound is only present until about ~3000rpm then goes away and stops after being warm for a few minutes, does not change when wheel is turned and only comes back when slowing down and getting into that rev range again
How old is the power steering fluid? I replaced my old thick fluid out using a spray bottle and that made a big difference.
I'll maybe give that a go.. I'm not sure if that's it though because the noise does not change when the wheel is turned. Could it be belts rubbing or bearings going somewhere?
If its the ps pump dying a lotta times the sound wont change. Also check for kinked ps lines(ie caused by mebbe a callapsed mount?)
Sure it's not the supercharger you hear whining? Take the belt off and start the car to see if the whining goes away. Just don't rev it crazy like that. Then if you still hear it, take the serpentine belt off also and start the car to see if the whine is still present. If you still hear it, then likely the transmission. If it is powersteering, I think it was bars powersteering fix I used on the last powersteering problem I had. It's a 2 part separated bottle for about $9 at walmart. If that doesn't do it, then likely powersteering pump and/ or steering rack. Could also be the suction low pressure side of the powersteering hose could have a leak just enough to suck in air, but not leak fluid out.

It's on the belt with supercharger on it. One idler is a bit loose and wobbly and the other has a chip out of it. am I right in suspecting the wobbly one? Where's my best bet to buy a new one?
Usually the 3 inch pulley goes bad and the 3.5 is ok. After replacing the 3 inch one 3 times, I changed both of mine to the 3.5 and haven't had to change them since. It's a tight fit, but makes the belt a bit tighter too so it doesn't slip on the supercharger. I get mine from Rockauto if you can wait, or any of the parts stores if you need it then. I've had better luck with the metal pulleys than the plastic ones.
