if your just putting the stock engine in there you dont need a aeroforce gauge. if you plan to mod it, put it on the list of parts you "need".
and you'll want its exhaust manifolds and the cat back if the GT is a single muffler. maybe take the back bumper if its still good. take the muffler bracket off the pass side of the 98 and put it on the gt, theres a spot for the bolts.
i just repainted my bumper with duplicolor rattle can, it looks damn good. so if the bumper dont match you can make it match for less then 50 bucks.
I was wanting to put the 1998 s.c. 3800 into a 2002 Grand Prix SE that has the 3100 with a spun bearing in it.
The car has only 174,000 miles on it and is in mint condition other than the motor, front bumper cover, and front passenger fender.
I can get the body parts pretty cheep here. I know the trans will not hold up to the s.c. 3.8 but its just in for this winter to get me a daily driver for work while i rebuild my 4t65e that goes with the s.c. 3.8. I know i will have to leave my lead foot a home and stay out of boost i get all of that. Just looking for a definite answer and a little guidance of what all i will need to change between the two cars to make it all work correctly
Also the only mod if you want to call it one is a cai
I'm actually doing the same thing next week, picked up a 2000 gt body with no front cradle or wheels or tires for $200 to swap my Gtp engine and tranny into. I would suggest doing a full front cradle swap. It tends to be easier IMO. Plus, I could be wrong, but I think the gtp has different axels and suspension and what not. And also make sure you swap over your fuel pump, gtps have a 2 speed pump with a resistor, otherwise you'll have to tune your PCM for a single stage pump. Good luck on your swap! Hope everything goes good!!

What you'll need to do:
Check the pinouts on the wiring harness at the fuse box. Likely they aren't super different.
Have your pcm programmed to be an 02 SC'd car with your vin (if you have inspection), and remove the high speed fuel pump codes etc.
Adapt the fuel lines
Use your SC torque converter, or switch over to a 245mm flex plate pattern.
