I have a 2002 GTP that dies randomly. It surges sometimes at idle and then other times at speed. Once in awhile it dies completely but always starts right back up. Can't figure it out, does anyone have an answer?

sounds like a crank sensor. ever see the tach drop to zero before it stalls?

If you've seen it drop to zero before it stalled, then the crank sensor is at fault.

Depending on your miles you might as well replace the harmonic balancer while you are at it.

200,000 miles so it looks like a new harmonic balancer would be a good idea.
