Depends if you are a bigger guy or a smaller guy.
I just stand on the passenger side and reach down over the alternator and get them that way. Some people lay on top aswell.
But to give yourself and extra 1-2 inches, unbolt the 2 front motor mounts, aka the dog bones, then hook a ratchet strap to the alt brace bar or engine pull bracket from somewhere on the core support or something and pull the motor forward.
As far as you know are they the original plugs and do they still have the little metal boots around them? If they do you'll probably need to do what FiveFinger suggested if they don't you should be able to reach them if not on the passenger dogbone bracket there's a extra slot that allows the motor to move forward about a inch or so.
I did it! I ended up taking off the coolant reservoir and my Otto racing strut brace to get some extra room... I have all new auto lite plugs and 10.5 mm wires and still have a misfire on cylinder 1.. Is my next step to replace the coil packs? If it is should I spend the extra money on the high voltage ones?
