Would have expected the number to be higher.
Same setup in my sig with SIX cam was 328whp/401wtq.....and that was on a 2.8 pulley also. Same exact setup on 93 was able to do 277whp/348wtq
392 lb ft. is a decent number for sure.
Would of expected the whp to be a tad higher though.
wtq is not and accurate representation because of converter flash. The converter is not locked during the dyno pull. whp is what you need to focus on.
2.8 on a gen 3? It seems low to me as well. On a 3.4 With headers/tune/intake/rockers I made 248whp.
My numbers are just about 340 at the crank which is 100 more hp than stock and I'm fine with that. I'm running a stock trans and the car seems fast enough for me for the time being. I want to keep the trans in one piece this year and I'll work on the trans and blower this winter. It's a work in process ya know? Brian did tell me I could pick up a lot more power with a cat back and a ported blower/LIM. I didn't post this video to brag about how much power my car has but just to share with some of my forum friends the progress of my car.

Don't get me wrong, it's a fun ride at that whp range. Just expected the numbers to be a little higher. I have GenV and SLP catback on that car. Skip ported blower and ported LIM. Those numbers I put down were with the GenV and untouched motor except injectors and valve springs.
I also was on stock trans......for a while. At 330whp on stock trans the clutches started going and ended up going with a TEP trans in the end.
I saw this on fb earlier today. I'll be visiting brian soon if I ever get off working 7 days a week
This makes me want to get my cam installed
Do it!!!
Time and money Smutty time and money.
I'm not poking fun of your car, I'm just saying it should be higher and something may not be working like it should.
Maybe the dyno is not calibrated the same as the one other people use idk but the car feels a ton fast to me. I will have to get some track times some day and see...
Could be your torque converter getting sloppy and dumb. That happend to me and Zach Brunsink. He changed his torque converter from a sloppy 3k stall to a new stock gt one and picked up 50WHP on the dyno. I haven't re-dyno'd mine since replacing mine since Im gonna be doing e85 dyno tune later this year but its probably the same thing.
