So here's the problem I've been dealing with for some time, car won't start on its own, I actually have to give it gas to get it started, and it won't stay running either, after letting off the throttle it just bobbles and dies. So I read alot on these forum and others and convinced myself that it had to be the fuel pump. Bought a Fuel Pressure gauge and tested my pressure at the fuel rail, and guess what it was only getting 38psi when I would turn on the ignition, and then would rapidly die down to 0psi.
So I just got done replacing the fuel pump, wasn't too bad to do, just hard on an old fat guy. And guess what, I get adequate pressure now, but still it's doing the same thing! So I'm pretty sure if I remember correctly that when this happened before I replaced that Fuel Pump Resistor/Ballast Resistor and it fixed my problems....So I was curious and tested the resistance on the FPR and I get .7 ohms of resistance, does anyone know what it's actually supposed to be??
And I'm kinda of at the end of my rope here, if it's not the FPR, then where should I go next MAF sensor? Crank, camshaft sensor? any help would be greatly appreciated!
