In lieu of this thread, I decided to make a thread of my own to address an issue I have. http://www.grandprixforums.net/curio...pvc-78886.html
Inside my SC behind the throttle body, there is a thick black film which I believe to be oil. I think the PCV is to blame, but it does still rattle. The film is roughly 3/4-1mm thick, covering the entire surface area up to the rotor pack. Is this film hindering my airflow? or is there a way to clean it all out that doesnt damage the rotor pack or cause chunks of this stuff to get into the LIM? Or is my only real course of action to pull off the SC and hot tank it? (or similar process, as I know the chemical bath it's dropped into would damage aluminum) Obviously I would port the supercharger if I had to do that.
Actually come to think of it, it seems like the same black soot you get on the inside of exhaust pipe. Could the EGR be bad? I dont have a CEL, but I'm not trusting that because I've run without the maf for a 20 mile trip and rear o2 sensor has been disconnected since the motor was installed and the lights still not on.
