I ended up with a full LIM to top of supercharger out of a 1997 GTP and my car is a 2000 GTP..I noticed my fuel rail has a bulb on it but the rail for the 97' does not.. would it cause any fuel problems if I ran the 97' rails on my 00' without the bulb?. I haven't been able to find any info on this in the forum sooo..... I already detailed the 97' set which is my only reason for asking.. didn't realize the difference until today.. it slipped my mind

I'm not sure what the bulb is that you're talking about, but I would use the 00 rails.

you talking about this round part on the fuel rail with the vac lines to it? thats the fuel pressure regulator.

on a 2000 it may look different or be in a different location. this pic is of a 98.

wow, thats one ugly rail lol glad i dont have that thing on my rail.

cant see how it would matter. 2 lines in and out, and your golden.

Everything on a 97 sucks. Your car is a 2000, so use the 2000 rail.

No, it won't cause you an issue.

That thing is a pulsation dampener kinda do hickey. The older cars put something on the pump that absorbed it and then GM made a slight change to put it on the rail. It won't effect performance that you or I would ever notice.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Thanks guys!.. yeah.. that's what I'm talking about Dsmuts.. And Spade.. I hear ya on the 97 sucking but I scored one hell of a deal on it and couldn't pass it up.. but with the cleanliness of the 97' rail I'd rather run it but Idk if it causes a lean issue or anything to not run the bulb.. I know most of the aftermarket rails don't carry that bulb on them .. Scotty.. that's what I'm thinking too but I'm just trying to weed out any problems I might run into.. I'm not going for big power , just alittle increase with reliability ..

Well at least that's what it was for Bonnevilles. In the 97 Bonnie, I found this on the pump to sender,
