hey guys, ive searched these forums for 2 hours and im finding lots of things to try. unfortunately i aam not able to pull the codes yet and really need help. just replaced vcgs and lim gasket. im having rouble finding where the rearward vacuum line goes from the vacuuum manifold on top of the sc. and where the hell is the map sensor? any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 04+ TMK have a cap on that middle vacuum manifold port.
The map sensor is bolted to the rear of the SC. You should actually have two. One should be open to the air and the other should have the vacuum line connected to it. If you don't see boost, move the line to the other sensor or switch connectors.

thanks for the quick response. the vacuum line i am not finding is a smaller hard line that tees and goes to a sensor in front of the sc and also to an undetermined location, assuming behind the sc based on the way it lays.

That line should start under the SC snout, and come to the front to hook to the boost control soleniod and also head around back to the map sensor. It makes a horse shoe.

ok, makes sense. Again thanks for the reponse. given that i replaceed the lim and vcgs, surely i can find these map sensors. Is it possible that this line being incompletewould cause the "reduced engine power" warning and the stalling? Or should i be expecting to go farther?

map looks like this on 07-03

    Google Image Result for http://www.aa1car.com/library/map_sensor.gif

its kinda sneaky to get a vacuum on it as the line is on the back of it and on the bottom when it is bolted to that bracket that goes to the alternator. its a long vacuum line that goes from the nozzle underneath the supercharger (in the intake) all the way to this map sensor.

im in a hurry but i'm assuming this is what you are talking about. if the vacuums aren't hooked up right it screws everything up. that is probably your problem

you guys are awesome!!!!! Thanks to all of your input the beast has roared to life and drove around the block. I ran a vacuum line from the boost solenoid to a tee at the snout. from there to map #1 and then map #2. it purred like a kitten.... until i gave it a lil punch. then "reduced engine power" and dead. I remembered the first post that one map was not vacuumed and i undid that problem and now a new issue. With Map "A" hooked up, it runs decent, but no boost, if i swap it to map "B" i get boost but a crappy idle and again " reduced power". its dark now so ill play with it some more in the morning. Thanks for all your help. Any other thoughts are appreciated.

Shifftinshadow... thanks for you time. All these seem to be for the l67. I believe I have the l32. Im going out to work on her now. Hoefully I can get her back in the game.

This is where the line starts at the boost bypass valve. White mark

Over towards the snout, then under it behind the coil packs.

Under the snout to that tee, one end goes onto the LIM, the other end routes around back along the rear valve cover.

Out the back of the snout alone the alt bracket, along the rear valve cover.

To the MAP sensor, as Bill said one of those is open to atmosphere, I didnt check which but I can if you need.

vacuum cap on the blower, rear one goes to brake booster, middle one is capped, front one goes to bypass valve.

And this is the L32, 2004 Comp G

i cant find vacuum diagrams for l32. only l67 show up so i'm going to bet they have the same vacuum setup or really close to it. i think the differences are the throttle, the heads, and different internals on the supercharger itself but the overall setup has the same basic design.

    try using those diagrams.

im surprised more people haven't chimed in.

(edit) what do you know, right before i posted.

Wow!!! Im blown away that you guys would take the time for those type of replies. Seriously... you all rock. My final priblem was solved by connecting battery cables together and resetting ecm. Shes running better than she has in years. Its actually got me motivated to get nasty with her. Have a few resto things to do. THEN COME THE MODS!!!!!

After a couple of the replies i was on the trail. I had a tough time with which mao to connect. I put it on the oone that produced boost, but it caused rough idle. Then i reset it and it was perfect. Until i drove it a while tonight. Now i have a flashing cel and 6 codes. Back to the drawing board....

I got stuck putting this car back together after a "friend" of mine tore it down to the block and left it. Its been quite an experience. Never had done more than a starter or alternator up to this point. Makes me really appreciate the car AND the forum.....

Yeah flashing usually indicates a constant misfire... check all the plug wires that they're properly seated and in the right order, check the connection to the coil packs too. What did the codes say that you had 6 of?
