I've got an 04 GTP with no mods besides the fact it is a Comp G, which I don't think that has anything different execpt for the wheels and tap shift?

Anyways I'm getting about 23 mpg down interstate doing 80 mph, and 24-25 mpg down highway doing from 60-65 mph.

If you could, please let me know what you are getting, and with what mods.

I've always been told there is no way to gain horsepower without loosing fuel mileage, but K&N always advertises gains in HP and MPG...

Also if there are any other mods that may help, I've heard about reprogrammed PCMs helping a bit.

    Thanks

What kind of mods do you have?

And I think mine supposed to be getting around 28 or so on highway, no clue why I get such bad mileage.

I also was talking to my friend and he has ram air intake and borla catless exaust and was getting about 31 mpg, then put aftermarket 19" wheels and it dropped him all the way back to 25 mpg. Thats on a regular 3800 tho

Before I put my cam in, I was able to get 30-32 MPG with an average speed of 80 MPH on a hilly interstate. Now, I'm getting about 26-28 MPG with the cam on the same interstate.

I don't understand why I'm getting such bad mileage tho, its only got 35k miles, gets regular oil changes and is taken care of... I just replaced rotors, and checked the bearings and everythign was fine, theres nothing wrong with it that I know of.

remember the computer doesn't know the tire size has changed...increased mass= less revolutions= the computer no longer being accurate..

mine was getting 23 or so, switched to a CAI and am now getting around 18, increased HP has it's drawbacks

keep in mind that was one time thing according to DIC... theres gotta be a margin of error in there somewhere i would think.

I have 87k miles on a 98 gtp, Just a cold air intake for mods. Ave 18.3 mpg on the computer before CAI, mix of in town and highway driving. Now I'm down to 16.2. But cant stop giving it the gas to hear that whine.
