I just had to replace the oil pan because it got dented and was starting to knock a little at rpm above 2400rpm. Sounded like a lifter to me. Anyways i parked it and began to pull the oil pan to knock out the dent. When i pulled the pan you could see where the pickup tube had marked the bottom of the oil pan. So i assume that's why it wasn't getting proper oil.

Finished up the pan this morning and started the car to see how it went. Well that knock is gone. But, when you rev it to 4k rpm's it starts to break up really bad. Like you couldn't accelerate above 4k rpm's if you wanted to it breaks up so bad. Seems to idle fine and accelerates smoothly untill you hit that 4k mark. My stock boost gauge is reading zero boost the whole time.

My boost gauge worked fine and i didnt have this 4k rpm break up thing before the pan fix. I had to jack the front of the motor up a good bit to make the pan fall out. My supercharger belt is not in good condition. I can almost pull it off by hand and it has cracks in it. But it was getting the job done prior to pan fix. Belt has some grease and oil on it now from my hand being all in there taking off the front motor mount. Could be slipping?

Maybe I pulled a vacuum line off or something when i articulated the motor during the pan fix.? Ideas?

if your revving it in park, your hitting the rev limiter.

take it for a drive and open it up.

Alright I'm an idiot. I was hitting the rev limiter with it in park. Yeah took it for a test drive. Ran like a champ with all kinds of boost. Been a while since she went WOT. Old gtp was riding out! Thanks.
