I was driving my 99 grand prix gtp and the supercharger belt shredded from the idler pulley burning up. The belt got wrapped around the inside of the pulley on the s/c and now its leaking oil our of it. Where do I get the seal for it and do you just use a puller to remove the pulley to get to that seal. Also I figure I need to replace the rest of the pulley's that are in question. I seen the tensioner under the coil packs to change that, the idler pulley by that, the pulley on the other tensioner by the alternator. How do you tell if that tensioner is good or not. Also what other pulley should I look at the crank, ps, alt are all good and tight. There is a pulley right under the s/c pulley. Should I replace that one as well it looks like it attaches with four bolts. Thanks for the input and your time

The one that attaches with 4 bolts is your water pump. No, you don't need to replace it.

Why replace all the other pulleys? Just find the one that is shot and replace it. Just spin em by hand and listen. If they squeak or wobble or feel excessively tight then replace.

The tensioner w the alternator and stuff on it the pulley feels ok but how to tell if the tensioner is still good or not. Is it a good idea to replace it and the coolant elbows while I m doing it or is it better to leave it alone

Then why are you asking questions about the water pump and alternator? Those run off a separate belt

it seems hes trying to make sure the rest of the pulleys and tentioners are good so this dont happen again.

there are indicator marks on the center part's side and on the housing, the marks should be close if your tensioner is bouncing around a lot it could be worn out.

while the belts are off spin all the idlers, tensioners and make sure they spin freely, and have no wobble. the water pump, a/c, power steering, and alt, all have their own bearings inside of them.

Yeah I figured if the one idler went out I would check the rest so If the tensioner w the alternator is tight and not bouncing and the coolant elbows are not leaking is it better to leave it alone

id test all the little pulleys replace if needed, the elbows leave em till they leak.
