We all have been wanting a manual in our cars for the longest time, and the F40 from a G6 bolts up perfectly.

Instead of sourcing an F40 with custom linkages and pedal brackets, why not source a 3800 for a G6?

That would require a good amount of modification on the fuel and sensor side. Would be easier to just pick up a V6 G6

    ^^that.

Probably be easier to swap in a 3900 than a 3800.

3800 has more aftermarket than a 3900 that's forsure anyone know the weight difference? Imo id just try find a 4 cylinder manual g6 iirc they made them not 100% sure tho. The 4 cylinder should have a decent aftermarket too

LE5 can handle plenty of power too, ZZP makes turbo kits for them as well...I'd rather do that then anything...E85 + Bullseye kit + slicks + stock auto trans = 11's in a Balt for reference.

3900 was a suggestion because it makes as much power as a stock~ GTP and was put in the G6 from the factory so it'd be a MUCH simpler swap than a 3800...which wouldn't be easy.

I'm sure if it's apart a nice custom cam/ported heads/intake/TB and whatever exhaust is offered for the 3900 should run just fine.

I was saying if we swap a 3900 for a 3800. We would need new mounting brackets, fuel and electrics. So not as difficult as the usual engine swap

It's going to be more difficult than you think.

3800 and 3900 are not that close to each other.

In my opinion that's the most difficult part. Also getting the 3800 pcm to interact with the interior interface. (gauges and monitors)

The one big thing that the 3800 has over any turbo is that Supercharger whine and redline chirp. Thats something you cant ever replace

That's really a generally lame statement.

You can make any car slap bang gears with a built slush box and put a loud, inefficient power adder on it with a small pulley and quiet exhaust to make the blower loud.

    lol.....

Like I said...you can do that with any motor if you want the fab work.

The gains aren't going to be as great as you think with a L67/L32.

    Get a 3900/LE5/3.6 DOHC motor.

All going to give you less headaches.

Turbo 4 cylinder if you insist in keeping it in a g6 when was the last time you seen or ever heard of a quick g6? Turbo kits are already available for that engine as blue mentioned. 350 to 400 hp from a turbo g6 with a manual would turn out pretty nice imo.
