If I step down on the gas more than just a very little the engine shuts down. The DIC says, Stability system off, Traction Control system off, Check stability system, Engine in reduced power mode. Actually the engine is off.. If I turn the key off turn it back on and wait for the DIC to clear it starts back up great and runs great until I step on the gas a little harder than driving easy.

I just put my winter tires back on. The stock rims with the pressure sensors in them. Could I have knocked a wire ir something loose.

sounds like a bad hub or wire maybe.

your description sound like when your in snow with traction control on, how the engine cuts out and feels dead when the wheels spin to much.

so maybe a hub is freaking out on you. trac off, and abs lights will come and off as well, you start the car, the wheels are not moving, so no light, start to move, the light may or may not come on.

Thanks for the reply. Acid told me it sounded like that when his hub went bad. What's the best way to try to figure out which hub or wire it might be.

jack up each wheel, leave the lugs tight, grab the top of the tire, and push and pull firmly, your feeling for play in the hub. also inspect your wires to the hubs.

if you can see your calipers and rotors, ( through the wheels) you can watch the rotor for movement in between the pads.

I checked the wires today. I'll try the movement tomorrow. Had Advanced Auto scan it and they said both front hubs. I think I can get my daughter's boy friend to get his brother who works at AZ to get them for me at his discount when I know what I need.

Checked the play in the huds. There was some. Tire shop told me last year it was starting to show play. Replaced both hubs, play is gone, but problem with scs is still there. I'll have it scanned again just to see if the scanner still says huds. Then I need another idea.
