Technically nothing if you keep the shifts below 6k but you risk valve float especially if your stock valve springs have high miles. Personally I do it the right way and get at least a set of L76 (G8) valve springs, ls style retainers and pick up a set of locks since you tend to drop those very easily.
what about the ls6 springs? From what I read it is a much easier swap.
Ls6 are more pressure then you'll need for a rocker setup resulting in quicker wear on the valve train. L76 spring rate is softer and more preferred for a rocker setup.

And the install is going to be the same for either springs and you'll want new valve seals to forgot to mention that in my first post.
How's it an easier swap?
Swapping a spring is swapping a spring, until you start talking dual spring 150#
I was just reading about comp cam springs that need new spring seats, whereas gm springs use the factory seat. That's all I meant by easier swap.
Pretty sure the L76 need LS type retainers as well so I'm not getting where your going with this...
