Thread: supercharger swap from a newer 3800?

i have a 97 gtp and i was wondering if there is any diffrence between the 97-02 gtp superchargers. can i swap a supercharger from another year motor with no problem?

'97 GTP's have a different vac tree on the blower.

'98-'03's are all the same.

so if i get lets say a 99 blower all i have to do is swap over the vaccum tree?

It's really that easy.

You don't swap over the vacuum tree you redo all the vacuum routing to 98+ routing.

Exactly there's no place on the 98-03 blower that allows you to put the vac tree back in place. Why are you wanting to switch blowers?

i was just curious i kinda wanted a backup incase i decide to p and p the blower.

Just go gen V. A little more modding but the results are well worth it.
