What he meant is.. put the new gaskets in... then do oil changes about every 2500 miles. That'll clean right up.
That and having extra oil for when he is done putting it back together for the 2 quick oil changes to make sure nothing is left in the motor.
Diesel fuel will clean that right up
Yeah Diesel fuel does amazing stuff, it works just like Seafoam does and costs less.
Lol seriously?
alright. did alot of reading on them i guess i missed that part. im thinking of buying this l67 bottom end at a junk yard has 80,000 on it. might swap out bottom ends then put all my mods on the less miles one
Wish I could even find an engine around here, only one here has 160k on it. Next closest I have found is over 300 miles away and has 134k on it.
I know many have done it successfully, not a fan of using kerosense/diesel etc to clean a motor. It works as a thinner to break down the stuff. Which can then make its way to the pan as chunks etc. I'd prefer to do more oil changes and let the stuff come out slowly....just like it built up.
We have like 7-8 junk yards, but they each have 1-2 cars that even have a 3800 in them. Most of them have well over 200k on the clock or the engine is toast. **** most of the 3800 powered cars around here are beat to **** or owned by people from the res.
