Does this do anything for you?

1,3,5 go on the front side in that order from left to right.
    6,4,2 on other side.

Ty. I have 228k miles on my car. Bought brand new. Again its a 2001 rand Prix GTP. The engine blew, The car is in Excellent condition, I have replaced and changed many things. I do have a new truck I use. But I'm keeping the car. A place that has my car, told me a engine they can get out out a newer Grand Prix, the car has 69000 miles, but the engine is newer, They want to charge me 2300 for the engine and removing mine and putting in this one. Is this a good Deal, Or should I find one myself for 600 to 1000 and have someone help me do it. So I would like everyone's thoughts on this..Thanks Chuck..I love my car.

that kinda sounds like rape to me. you can buy a engine for 1,000 on the high side, and labor should be no more than 600 or so with fluids and what not.

as long as your not stuck on foot, shop around for a engine, and ask around at different shops want they would charge to put it in for you.

any time you see engines laying on the side of a shop, thats a tell tail way to know they will do a engine swap, some just wont do it, others do it all day long.

Our dealership labor book shows a engine replacement at like 10.4 hours IIRC. It cost me like 700 plus fluids and the motor. Spent 750 on the motor, redid all the gaskets, all new fluids, tranny service. Left with like a $1200 bill not counting my motor, so say $2000 total and granted it was discounted but this was a GM Dealership doing it.

450 is not bad. I got my engine for 650-700 shipped with 105k, free install via myself. Time for headers if you dont have them already, be SUPER easy to do! Get a new water pump and some bearings while its out.
