    Hello again,

My 2000 GTP has a low coolant indicator lit. The coolant itself is fine and the previous owner told me he replaced the sensor to no effect. Assuming he really replaced it (I haven't had a chance to check yet), is there anything else that might have the light come on. Seems to only be the light, the car runs cool and the coolant is fine.

    Thanks

Sounds like LIM gaskets, if the fluid level is fine and stays the same, it could be coolant sludge boogering the sensor.

Think a coolant flush would clear it then?

It certainly wouldn't hurt. It would be maintenance anyway.

Where do LIM gaskets come into this guy?

Check the sensor. Replace it to be sure if you want. Check the wires for loose connections, go over the basics.

If all else fails, id unplug the sensor and forget about it.

As I bought the car (obviously) used, I do not know what maintenance was actually done. I know what I was told was done, but....

A flush would be a good idea anyway. See if I can't get it done this weekend (in my copious free time).

    Thanks all
