i was just wondering if there is a way to hook up a manifold air temp gauge? or maybe a way to take the temp gauge in the rv mirror and have it read intake temps?

thats gonna be one hell of a heavy duty sensor to not burn up. youd have to tap that lower intake and put it in there.

non-intercooled i think youd see temps of over 400* in there.

ZZP mentioned in one of their write-ups about the blower outlet temps reaching almost 300*.

You would need and EGT sensor.

    or something like this http://www.autometer.com/cat_accesso...st.aspx?pid=33
    or this http://www.aeroforcetech.com/EGT_components.html

id think its a waste of time unless you were going to do one pre-intercooler and then one after it in order to record temperature drops. otherwise im not sure there is a lot of use for it.

now an EGT being used as an EGT...that would be useful.

I'm with you, at least at the time of this writing. It's too bad GM didn't use the manifold temps for PCM calculations instead of the IAT's. The tuning accuracy would be so much greater.

Why would you want it to show up on your rear view mirror anyways?

    Buy one of these-

If your going to do any kind of modding your going to need one anyways.

In the long run your going to end up saving money just buying one of those know. Not to mention it's a much easier set-up than anything you can come up with like that, plus it tells you a lot more than just your intake temps. Pretty much a must have.

I was told you can get the Aeroforce gauges from Pace for under $200 shipped with a clubgp discount. IIRC it was something like $189. Call Greg at ext 205 and ask. I didn't know this before I ordered mine from Maryland speed for 239 shipped.
