OK, dropped the kids off at the sitters on my way to work.

Car died at a light. Got it started again, ran but had to keep it reved up. If I let off the gas, it would die again. I would start it back up but had to floor it to get it started. Once started, had to keep in the gas or it would stall again.

    Thoughts?

I thought maybe alternator is going bad, and it was just running off mostly battery power.

163k miles, original fuel pump, original coil packs and plug wires.

Alternator was replaced at 115k with autozone best you could buy.
    plugs replaced at 105k.
fuel filter and air filter replaced regularly.
    Always had oil changed regularly.
regular maintenance done accordingly except for wires.
If all else fails, throw money at it..... that'll fix it.

If it's starting and dying ...without revving.. then you likely have a SC'd car. bend the either pin 85 or 86 on the fuel pump speed relay to keep the pump in high.

If that doesn't do it. then unplug the maf sensor and see if you can get it started, keep it running for a minute..then if it holds on it's own...it's a maf sensor.

Those are the two most likely.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

unplug your maf. thats the easiest to start with, if it runs fine you know you need a new one. if not, then it could be your pump. but with it being that sudden of an incident id bet on the maf. its amazing how quick those things will take a **** in these cars

And yes, it is a supercharged GTP.

So the pump has a high and low?

Resistor... It'll do that. When it gets warmed up again, likely it'll cut out.

There is a resistor located behind the window washer fluid res that is in your passenger fender. The plug is behind the headlight typically.

Anyhow.. if you look in the under hood fuse block, there's a relay for fuel pump speed. Take and bend either the power or ground leads that actuate it (85 or 86) ... I forget the corresponding letters to those pins. By bending that leg and putting the relay back in..you'll keep it from switching to low speed and using the resistor.

bill will need to get into his photobucket lol

in your underhood fuse block.. look at the diagram for the "fuel pump relay" looking at the block from the front of the car, it should be in the lower left hand corner. pull the relay and bend pin 86 i think it is..(either 85 or 86, youll know because itll be the only one you can bend outwards and still be able to put the relay back in).
