New copper cores and new iridiums are both good. I think you've got a not good scanner?

Ok I'll bring it to another shop and see if they can pull up a code.
Bad cat dealership just called and can also cause.the.misfire, runs like a dream !!!

ok well dealership was RIGHT lol, also had a broken vacum line going to the bbv soloniod hope this helps if u have any more problems
I'm defiantly going to look into the cat and vacuum lines because my miss just came back with a vengeance! I didn't get it scanned yet but my car just all of a sudden started missing bad good thing I was close to home...So what did the dealership do to fix this? Put a cat on and fix a vac line?
Ok so checked all my Vac lines seam to be good? A few are cracked around where you put them on but nothing seams to be of interest..could be the cat at 96,000 miles???? Also I unplugged what seams to me to be the ICM or maybe MAP Sensor and started the car and no notable difference? This sensor is right behind the motor very visible rectangle with a 3 round plugs. Im getting it scanned later will update...
Got the codes car is now reading P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire, P0102 MAF circuit had lower than expected voltage, and P0122 TPS (throttle position sensor) is reporting too low a voltage any suggestions? Bad wire? Bad Computer???
the free check is to look at the wires leading from the plugs that go into the sensor's, (pop it off and bend the wires) they tend to dry up and have cracked insulation on the wires. if you find cracked wires you can buy new pig tails, cut the old plug off and strip the wire till you get to nice shiny wire, then solider the new pig tail on and use heat shrink wrap on the splice to seal it up. bad wires will throw the same code as if the sensor was bad, and all the heat the throttle body endures, they could be cracked.
i had a maf code when i got my car and the wires were all messed up, new pig tail no more code.
Mine threw that code when my maf died but like scott said check the wires and clean the maf and the tps
couldn't hurt to pull out #2 and see what it looks like.
cleaned ya throttle body? not sayin its the culprit but can help smooth out some of those tb related issues.. just needs a good cleaning.. something that wont hurt... and how old is your air filter...
Not sure on the air filter it's a Jerry rigged cold air the former owner put on but looks clean. It just boggles my mind I replace ignition and the miss comes back even worse and on a different cylinder...I'm beginning to miss my rust free police interceptor that couldn't go though the snow lol so recap before I was just getting a cyl 4 misfire I replaced coils and plugs and wires ran fine for a week now it's missing on cyl 2 wtf?! I still haven't gotten a straight up answer what could be causing this the misfire? I'll clean out the tb but rest assured the miss will still be there I feel it in my bones
What Scott posted for you, should be the first things you try.
Can throttle and airflow cause a misfire you ask, the answer is yes. A big yes.
With number two being the passenger back cylinder, give it a double check that the wire is routed well and not grounding out on anything.
hey man as far as what the dealership did just diagnosed the problem for me, i hollowed the cat and all good, that missfire i had was related to the cat being clogged, good luck if you can get your hands on a i dont know what its called exactly but unscrew the 02 sensor and screw in a back pressure tester if you can find one.
Ok so just got done putting TB back on cleaned it out, cleaned MAF and TPS and checked all my wires checked all my vac lines everything seams to be in order, I cleared the codes started the car AND......I'm still missing, but I'm not throwing a code for anything TB related anymore. So time to move on, I got under my car and my car and my cat when hit is rattling so I think im going to replace the cat with a ZZP Offroad Down Pipe and just eliminate it seeing that I don't have to echeck also should I invest in a ZZP PCM 1.0??
Just throw headers on it they are only $200 or so.
