Alright, I have heard bad, and good about the Wizair. I have heard the intake tubing just blows arss, and that its cheapy. I have also heard its great. Everyone plz give an honest opinion on it, and if someone could direct me to a pic of one installed on their GP, that would be great. I want to make sure I am making a good choice about what intake I am putting in the car.

Now, as well as that I am considering the following mods - Wat do you think?

    - Wizair or other intake
    - ZZP PCM
    - Alternator rewire kit, and voltage booster
    - ZZP 3.4" Pulley (after the above mods)
    - Maybe a High Flow Cat? this would come later though...
    - Eventually SLP Pipes

I don't race, I just roll around town and still want a reliable car, but something with a little extra pep in case some jack decides he is going to pull an f-head maneuver on me, or I want a quick little race.

ZZP PCM, and peppy, reliable car cannot be used in the same thread together.

Horrible choice, you won't be outrunning any 'f-heads' with that in your car.

make your own intake, cheaper and will work better.

dont get a zzp pcm. get your own tune or another vendor.

volt boosters are good, but dont do much unless you have a system.

the 3.4 is too small for you right now, youll blow your **** up.

high flow cat doesnt flow any more than the stock cat.

if youre talking about a catback, it will do nothing for performance, only sound.

I agree, make your own intake. Good write ups on here, just have to find them
Get a PCM from Overkill, heard real good stuff about them
Go 3.5 pulley. 3.4 or smaller need IC
Go with a down pipe, headers and mufflers. OEM pipes are good enough for what you want to do.
Scanner that will measure for kr. More mods, more kr less hp, will f your stuff up.
Do a mod, scan for kr.

No difference in performance. The stock piping is good for enough already. Headers, DP, and mufflers. Saves money also.

    ^^ exactly.

this is going to be my setup fairly soon:

    - S&S headers (2.5" collector/downpipe) > high flow cat > 28" summit glasspack > stock muffs

i cant wait to hear how it sounds. i may end up changing my glasspack to something nicer like a thrush or something after a little while as well. its too loud right now with my flowmasters. i live in a strict cop area, so i want to go covert. i think it will sound good though, just get to hear more of my favorite part: the blower.

Well as I can see, I have a little thinking to do then.
And is 180 Tstat a good idea, or just another gimmick? wat would be some basic, low cost mods besides the intake that would allow me to run the 3.4" SC pulley?

I'm guessing a PCM isn't to big of a concern unless your racing?

Make this intake, it works great:

    http://www.grandprixforums.net/f81/n...ay-5503-2.html

    Look at the pics.

Go to a hardware store (Home Depot) and get the tubing you see int he pic. Its in the house building dept. I forgot what its called.

Get a 3" plumbers fitting and stick it in ur stock tubing.

    Get an extra tightening clip.

    Get a cone filter.

    Assemble.

Look at the pic. Place some extra tubing over the filter with a zip tie.

    Done.

In total = 40 to 70 bucks. (Depending on filter brand)

    How To: E-Brake Pwn
    2001 GTP. D/S Rotors * Custom Intake * DHP PCM *
Looking For - 3" in DP with Cat. PM me if selling

If your going to buy a CAI then your best bet is to buy the one from Thrasher. The Wizaird has a cheaply designed tube, and one from Ebay is actually going to do nothing but hurt your performance.

Best of all however is to make, or buy a FWI intake that moves the entire filter out of the engine bay.

No problem man, a K&N one would certianly be a wise choice over what you've currently got. Your not going to gain any power sucking in all that hot air.

lmao I know rite...I think I kept it cause once I took off my factory intake box, u could really hear the Supercharger. fixing to buy a COLD AIR intake now, either that trasher off the ebay store or K&N, if i ran a hose to the bottom grille would that help any either?

Not really, you'll be sucking plenty of air as it since you have a blower, and with no more air than would be coming through that tube it's not going to help drop the temps any further.

to run a 3.4 "safely" youd need an intake, downpipe, colder t-stat, colder plugs, and a tune of some sort. with this minimal amount of mods you can get away with a vendor pcm, but its not really your best option. a stock pcm is going to have you knocking still with those though. a powerlog from zzp on top of this should net you knock free running. this will put you about $500 in the hole or less if you play your cards right.

your honest best bet is to start slow like all of us did. leave your pully stock for now and see if you can make it a little nicer without changing that first.

Thanks for the opinions so far and keep em coming! I think I will go with a Thrasher Intake, as it looks decent, and is cheaper then the zzp, and has better materials. I am now very satisfied, knowing that the pulley is not a good idea. I think I will save up, get some SLP pipes, do the intake, and MSD spark plug wires, get the Iridium TR55IX plugs put in, and otherwise I am just going to get the outside looking fresh, and get a nice system for the trunk some tint, and caliper paint
