Should there be two clamps on my air intake hose ? I have stock hose with the one clamp at airbox with thumbscrew.
The otb end just slips on, should there be another worm clamp ?

Yep. One on each end of the tubing.
I didn't read 97, Nick is correct.
IIRC they are 1/8" inner dia. if you are replacing with aftermarket vac hose it should be fine as along as it they fit on the vac ports. im planning to remove most of the stock plastic vac lines and run either rubber vac line or bend metal line! think it would look cool and last much longer.
I hate the plastic lines, break too easy. Going to replace all with vac hose to try to stop P0171.
I notice everyone talks about the "Tee under the sc snout" ,mine just has an elbow and one line ? Is this normal for a '97 ?
Stupid question I know, but previous owner had other hoses messed up and i am checking everything.
thanks
To answer...yes the '97's are year specific for vac line routing...
'97 GTP Vac. Diagram...
'98-'03 GTP Vac. Diagram...
Now that I look at it...it might be to a previous-gen car that had a 4T60-E vac. transmission...so don't worry about that line...you have the 4T65E-HD...no vacuum lines needed
Thanks, that what I thought.
I just need to replace the hose, previous owner had it rigged up badly. Is there a reducer on the tb that takes the size down to match the purge valve ?
I assume that would be the correct way, prev owner has big hose with an adapter connected to the smaller hose.
Maybe take a picture and post it...since you seem to have something we'd actually have to see to correct it?
