Upper engine mounts. Spark plug wires. The 2 crossover bolts that bolt the manifold to the down pipe. Manifold bolts (6). and thats it i belive except a engine lift bracket wich i belive you have to take off.
Take off the upper dog bone mounts:
Remove plug wires (gently, if you have the stockers):
Take out these two bolts holding it to the crossover:
Best to soak them in PB Blaster for a while. Do NOT reuse them!!
Remove this bracket:
Remove any other brackets that might be in the way (nothing tricky). You will also have to pull the dipstick tube out. Just pull and it comes out:
Remove the nuts and it will come right off:
Some of the nuts may be seized to the exhaust studs. It's okay, as they'll still unscrew anyway. Only one of my studs actually stayed in the head, as you can see.
While I'm posting pics... my front socker:

VERY VERY good write up!!!!
You need to get that into a document or something so we can post it up in the How To section, thats good information.
Probably multi-format if you can do it, .pdf, .doc and so on. If you cannot do that then a .pdf file would be awesome.
I'll see what I can do, throw some reinstall info in. Might not be immediately as I've got a lot on my plate at the moment.
No problem at all, no hurry either, just would be nice to have once you get the time to get it made up.
Yea thanks a bunch that defiantly made it go a lot smoother. I kinda figured thats how I'd have to go about doing it I just wanted to be lazy and not have to take out the extra like 5 bolts lol. thanks again
