Oh god...That camshaft is in the wrong place then...
That sir, is your balance shaft...
And that does appear to wobble pretty nice...
Just delete it, and be done with it.
That sounds like a rocker or a lifter not working. A lifter failing would give that sound I believe.
Edit - Just saw the above posts on page two.
You sound the the Russian dude in Russia firing the guns (or at least the commentary sounds like it ) .
That's a first where I've seen the balance shaft go bad.
did you say look at this nice big cam, and grab the balance'r shaft?
your cam is under the lifters and has lobes on it and makes the valves move, that shaft you grabbed has none of that.
i do believe that the front timing cover needs to come of if you want to delete the balance shaft or replace the bearings for it.

U can remove the balance shaft? Whats the purpose of it anyways? And anyone know a how to on this
Soo iwouldnt matter if i just took off the gear and let it sit there? And also read the last thread on this : http://www.grandprixforums.net/camsh...how-54250.html
Let me know what u think if that will unblance manythings
It won't.
I don't have one...it just makes the motor rougher at idle.
Also, quit making a new thread every 5 minutes about the same topic...you can update your old ones.
