The garlock gaskets that came with my intercooler seem to be soaking up oil from under the intercooler and is now starting to leak out of the gasket. I am going to tear it down again and would like some pics of where to cut the holes in the bottom gasket for the PCV system to function properly. It is the recent design S2 from ZZP. Thanks for any help.

I've been preaching this for a long time, so have a few from ClubGP. Garlocks belong in the trash can, not on your car period. Unless you like replacing S/C gaskets. They oil soak in a minium amount of time and thats with or without RTV on them! They suck, ZZP IMO succesfully made an S/C gasket thats a downgrade to stock. Congrats to them.

I've done 4 installs with Garlocks and RTV on all sides, torqued to specs and all and they oil soak.

Do yourself and your car a huge favor, buy Fel pro or OEM GM gaskets, use a light coating of Red High Temp RTV around all the ports on a both sides, install them, and enjoy properly sealed gaskets. In 7 years I have yet to have a problem with OEM gaskets, much less OEM gaskets and a little RTV. Good luck.

That is the plan. I was not happy with those gaskets. I am going back to the OE ones. I guess i should have put that in my original post! Any help on where the holes you have to cut for the PCV go? ( and any other you need to cut too if i forgot)

Hopefully this will help you. I have both of the precut Garlock's, which I'm going to use as a template to "fit" the OEM gaskets.

    IC gasket trimming

Turbo Tim has pics of both the upper and lower gaskets and where the holes are located.
