    when the windows are down and my gen v screams at 6k rpm, it hurts my ears. but i like it. the sound difference between the 2 is definatly noticable

    If you look at the outlet side and compare silencer ports they are about half the size on the gen V... I'll have to snap some pics tomorrow if I remember. And I thought I was the only one to open the moon roof and floor it when I go under a bridge???

    Silencers apparently only make a difference at part throttle.

    I welded the ports closed on my Gen V...I'll report back on the noise level with a 3.0 pulley when I get everything installed.

    If you changed the pulley size or intake then the test is invalid .

    Would have been nice to see numbers with an SPL meter though.

    a Gen 3 with 3.2 wasn't comparable to the Gen V with 3.4 (aka the vid sizing). When I was done with heads, rockers, cam, and all the other stuff, I was running around on the street with a Gen V 2.9.

    It's impressive ... I revved at a guy one day at a light. Got a call moments later from friends within a half a mile. Yes, they heard it and knew who it was.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    Omg...I can't wait to do my gen v swap now.
