Phil said he thought a Radiator from a volkswagen (I think jetta) would fit as a nice easy alternative..
Could my car be driven wit the intercooler core on but no fmhe?
As long as the pump isn't hooked up and your PCV is working
^This.
It would act like a blower spacer for now.
Oh man. I didnt have the pump installed....just the core. But i ended up taking it out and putting just the blower for now. The core for some reason at first wouldn't budge because of the grey rtv but i had to use a towel and a breaker bar to pry it of the lim. Ill have to order a new stae 2 fmhe because mines has vanished from my entire house or maybe the zzp $60 intercooler radiators for now.
Thanks for the help and reply guys. I appreciate it.
Also this was my first time doing a LIM change and i was successful. Im happy the gasket and ported lim install went well.

is there a huge difference in a second radiator vs a fmhe i wonder
ive read a radiator works better than a FMHE.
Radiator=bigger=better cooling=more involved install
It's a radiator out of a VW Scirocco that some people use. Mid to late 90's. IIRC
Could you post pics of your radiator and setup please?
