Just get Reptile to port your stock L67 TB. He does great work.

Depending on the mods, an Overkill tune is okay. Start getting into ported Throttle bodys that skew the MAF readings, and you'll def want a live tune.

ok so im definately getting hptuners pro, 3.3" pulley, aeroforce interceptor scan guage w/wideband add on, solid engine and trans mounts from zzp, some zzp wheel bearings, shorter dogbones from zzp... my big question is can i tune a stock pcm or do i have to buy an aftermarket one from zzp or overkill???

shorter dogbones are the worst way to correct axle geometry.

Using trans/engine mount spacers is a better way.

ok if i get wbody stores cnc heads w/1.9.1 rockers and a 3.4" pulley on my headered setup could i just tell reptile thats what im getting and he'll be able to make me a bad a tune for it??? or could i just get a canned tune... or a custom tune from overkill... i dont have the time to custom tune having kids and all... and if i do custom tune could i make enough power to rule out getting rockers???

Honestly if you can't get a custom tune...then I would either...

    A) Buy a Tuner...either an old school DHP or a HP Tuners Suite.

    B) Don't mod your car past a basic 3.4" setup

thats about the same conclusion i came to... probably gonna go have the cylinders pressure tested in a few days to see where i stand... not gonna get a tuner untill i decide to get a cam... just gonna go the safe route and use the 3.4 with a canned tune from overkill, an aeroforce w/wideband add-on (just to have it for the future mods)... zzp progress front and gmpp rear swaybars, zzp trailing arms, and the Fbody front brake upgrade the rear upgrade is a little pricey

why don't you just put the 2k aside for a year and see how the tranny holds up, and see how much more $ you will have next year. When modding, it never hurts to have funds set aside for a replacement tranny. Save up, put in a TEP next year with 3.29's and build around that (a cam would be a good idea to put in at the same time). Much more reliable that way since its a DD.

Also if the place can tune an LS1, it probably can tune a GTP. So I would see where the F bodies and corvettes go in your area for a tune.

You'd think so, but I called like the only dyno tuner in town and he pretty well flat out told me he only does ls motors and wouldn't even touch my car... I really just needed to get it halfway close at that point and I told him that and he told me to call some shops in dallas lol

If I were to get a tune, this would be my first place to try.

and about the rest of ur budget, fixing broken stuff sounds like a good idea.

Either he's an LS snob, or a cheap bastard and doesn't have the license for GM v6's.
