I'm thining about adding these to my list of mods. I'm also going to block off the coolant ports to the blower. I'm not sure if I'll notice any gains with my current 3.5 setup but my thought is it should definitely help with my 3.0 E85 setup. What do you guys think?

Just as a preemptive FYI I'm not going GEN V.

if you like your pedal feel now, how you have to push on the pedal to get it to move....youre going to hate a northstar.

as far as the northstar being a good idea, it will when youre on that 3.0, but the gains for a throttle body are minimal at best, even on the smaller pulley. blocking the coolant ports isnt going to do anything besides to help you not have to change throttle body gaskets anymore since they wont get wet anymoer.

I love the NorthStar personally. It fit mydriving habits fantastically.

Are you pulling the Lim to do the ports? If so check out the How to mod a Lim post. It's got a few cool tricks/tips for you.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Not sure about the N*, but I installed a ported TB yesterday. It definitely pulls a bit harder and the throttle response is better. Also the shovel dragging like noise and RPMs going up and down when cold are gone.

I also noticed that the SC inlet is around 73mm while the stock TB outlet is 69mm. I thought that the SC inlet would also be 69mm, but it isn't. I don't see why we wouldn't benefit just by adding a bigger TB that at least matches the SC as it clearly is a bottle neck.

I'm not really concerned about pedal feel but thanks for the info. I already have the coolant blocked to the TB and I ported the stock TB to the hilt with epoxy and all.

I plan on porting the inlet to match the larger N* and cutting the V shape into the outlet. I do not plan on removing the LIM....I didn't think there would be any benefit in doing so....

I could tell a differesnce between the N* and a ported TB right off the bat... loved it... combine that with a ported blower and when your pulley gets smaller youll definetly be able to hear the thing...
