I have recently purchased a 2004 Grand Prix GTP Comp G with 46k on it. While slowly accelerating the I can hear the supercharger whine. Is this normal since the engine is not under heavy load? It only whines while accelerating (not while turning or at idle). I just wanted to make sure there is nothing wrong with it. Thanks

alot of times its power steering or the torque converter you are hearing, i doubt with a stock air box and stock pulley you will hear the charger whine much. i got a few of these grand prixs, gts and gtps that i nick name crybaby for this whine they make(stronger than most) they all run fine with no issues. i do not think you have anything wrong..btw use only premium gas in your gtp! =)

Why would it make boost under slow acceleration, that doesn't seem right... I don't make boost until like half throttle.

I was estimating based off feel.

Once again, why would it make boost under light acceleration?

30 percent throttle isnt exactly heavy throttle. OP Id verify your BBV valve is openiong and closing when you snap the throttle in neutral or park
