So my 97 has been having this weird symptom of when I turn the key the engine doesn't turn over and start right away like it usually does. Then I reverse the sequence take the key out and slowly turn the key and she lights up. The weird thing it only happens every now and then.

Im assuming my starter is going out, but if its something not as big as replacing the whole starter that any of you can suggest let me know. Ive never replaced a starter solenoid but maybe thats the issue? Thanks again for the help fellas.

is may not be the issue, but do you let the fuel pump prime at all?

as for the starter, check the wires and see what they look like. they could be damaged

Didnt even think about the fuel pump priming? How accessible is the starter and its wires? Would I have to take a bunch of stuff off?

Mine does that sometimes...usually when I use my remote start while my car is sitting uphill or downhill. It acts like its fuel deprived.

03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

starter is cake. just look under the car you can see the starter right near the flywheel covers. only one wire should be on the little post, the rest is on the big post. and if u need to remove the starter, remove flywheel covers and two bolts, and viola.
