I have them sitting on my floor right now, I have a grocery list of things I need to get to install them is this correct?

    different exhaust clamps
    RTV sealant

Possibly a different flex pipe is this really necessary?

is that all people have been doing to keep them from leaking?

I have searched and read seems to be it, just looking to verify and be sure.

yep get 4 band clamps from napa or where-ever and some rtv to sell them up nice and good. That flex pipe is fine.

youll need 4 clamps.. 2 3" and 2 2.25". RTV in all joints, o2 sensor extension for pre converter sensor. There is a write up on here which has everything step by step.
and dont use the gaskets that came with them, they're garbage, re-use the original metal ones.

Downpipe is not an issue unless you drive like an asshat, flex is fine, and I got mine to seal perfect with no rtv. Just bought high torque band clamps and hit them with an impact

RTV everything exhaust wise...it never hurts...why waste time taking it apart again if you have a leak?

Just installed mine, everything has went really smooth, taking my time. The back header was a pain in the ass to get into the car. Save yourself some trouble and while you have everything out beat a spot in the car for the o2 sensor. Right now mines hitting in reverse. I think rtv saved my life....

Yeah, you'll have a hell of a time getting the pre-cat O2 sensor in without taking a hammer to the tunnel.

Get band clamps, a tube of High Temp RTV, and some WD-40, and you're set.

As said, reuse your original exhaust manifold gaskets, torque everything down, and you're good to go.

BUy a NGK/NTK o2 sensor...they are a ton smaller than the Denso/ACDelco ones...so they'll fit better without having to beat up the firewall.

has anyone used o2sensors.net to buy new o2 sensors? neither Napa or Autozone carry the NGK 02 sensor.

Yeah, mine was really damn close, cause im using shorter dog-bones, so the rear header is pulled up higher...Plus it feels damn good hitting the **** outa a car that has caused so much suffering, lol.

ehh I don't care about beating on the car so that's what I'll probably do.

yeah, and "massaging" my firewall didn't seem possible. Its rather thick.

Just got lazy and did the crossover... $50 to prevent shorting out O2 sensors is worth it.
