Anybody have or had a problem getting the slip joint on the front header to fit in the crossover? Mine is pretty hard to get to slip through so just wanted to see if anybody else has had the same problem and if so what the did to fix it.

IIRC drunkie said he had to cut it on both ends for it to fit.
Best let him post about it though.
I had a tough time getting them to fit together. One was round the other was oval. I think I tapped the outter edge of the front header with a hammer to roll it in slightly. Once it was barely started fitting into the crossover, I tighened the bolts/nuts on the front head a few turns each and tapped the joint area with a rubber mallet. Tightened more, tapped more. When it was all snugged up and in place I clamped the joint down and there was no leaks.
That's the same way I do SLP's and ZZP's, works like a charm. Tighten rear header to head, slide crossover in and then work the front in. (ZZP is skip crossover step, front mates to rear over trans.)
the joint on the front header into the crossover, on mine it starts with a smaller diameter tube then goes slightly larger causing the crossover not to slip on all the way
Yes, get it started then do the couple turns on the bolts and tap on the header, bolt turns tap bolt turns tap method I mentioned.
