    I recently replaced my sons engine in his grand prix and all the connectors I have connected that I can see. but i have no temperature indication inside. can you help and maybe supply a connector diagram or where the sensor is located.

    the coolant temp sensor is underneath the thermostat housing on the lower intake manifold.

    Thats what i thought but I do not have a conector for that sensor. as I stated before I am pretty sure that I have all the connectors plugged in. I do however have an extra connector on the wiring harness off the main trunk harness that has nothing connected. I don't believe i lost any cabling but not sure. it was a month of on going work before I replaced the motor..

    That particular sensor has a double element in it. One side feeds temperature to the PCM the other side to the gauge in the cabin. Likely the side for the cabin is bad.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    I would agree except there is nothing plugged into the sensor on the block.

    the wiring for that sensor can actually be disconnected from the harness, it plugs into the lim, and then into a bigger connector close to the front valve cover. maybe you left this connector on the other motor?
