haha great!what about when you're driving around for an hour and decide to get on it? You will be welcomed with a handful of slow, that's what.

His intake design was worse than the engine cover, trust me.
someone pointed out to me that the dyno data could easily be faulty. when the dyno tests were done, it was likely that the hoods were open right?
so that would totally throw off the data... it would be different with a closed hood keeping the hot air in right?
5 WHP is within the margin of error i'd venture to say...
I would like to see the numbers on a stock intake.
This has been a debate over on over forums for years. Intakes add a few horses but nothing major.
I would like to see if my velocity stack adds a few more horses over the standard intake...maybe once I'm tuned and I am just playing around, I'll go to the dyno and compare stock vs standard vs velocity stack.
I have gone to an open HAI intake from my ZZP CAI since I threw my IC on and either a lot of you supporting the HAI have no idea what you are talking about or are just lying. When I had my CAI I was always within 5* of ambient temp when cruising. Now with my HAI its usually 40* higher on the dot than ambient temp, its ridiculous. Let's hear it
But when your moving...the temps go down. Flow> Ambient Temps.
Which is all that matters...who races in traffic when your car is heatsoaked?
Not I.
yay finally a some proof on paper! sadly I'm sure someones still going to try and say else... I figure the open cone always flows better because it can draw air more easily than anything else which why I will not get a box for my gtx hood... Yea it might be ram air but I'd have to be going like 90mph+ for it to really do anything
Both. I cruise on the highway for about 20 minutes everyday each way to and from work, it stays 40* above ambient. In town is even worse, usually about 50*.
When flow isn't effected why not have lower intake temps?
Who races on the freeway anyways? Besides ricers of course. Pretty sure you don't get to cruise around at the track before you run, and from my experience that doesn't lower intake temps anyways.
Continue
Couldn't say. I just can back in here after I saw your post higher up on this page about a HAI being within a few degrees of ambient temp and it made me lol.
Because when your moving...it does sit within Ambient temp...my intake temps (when moving) never get more than 5*~ of what it is outside. I've never seen any interesting reasons to spend another $150+ to gain you nothing.
Ricers race on the highway...which is why all of your videos you posted on here are highway runs
I yank the headlight...and wait for it to be cooler before I go to the track anyways...I'd never waste money on a hot day.
