I got my car home after having the exhaust welded & car checked for vacuum leaks & it idled great for about a minute. The RPM's started to bounce and the car acted like it was going to die on me. I took it for a short drive & same thing happened both with my foot on & off the gas. The check engine light hasn't come on. Could this be a bad fuel pump or something else?

having a vacuum leak can cause rpm issues. Check all the vac lines for cracks.. and ensure everything is plugged it. Also, check you egr hose connections.
