I know how returnless fuel systems work, some return in tank, some return in filter. I was wondering if anyone knows how the L32 returnless fuel system operates.
thanks

a "returnless" fuel system isnt truly a returnless system. the fuel just dosent return from the rail. Some vehicles return from the filter thats why some filters have 3 lines connected to them (one fuel in from pump, one filtered to engine, and a return to the tank). Other vehicles have the fuel return in tank.
I was under the impression recent GM vehicles do not have fuel filters in the line anymore.
When I bought my 06 and read about the returnless system my assumption was theres simply a pressure release on the pump in the tank that opens and "returns" it right at the pump output as Fbody stated.
However to me if it never exits the tank, its returnless.
