The hard part about that is the flange to bolt up to. I have been talking with a guy that builds choppers, about making me one (he has a tig welder and is great at it! and a pipe bender) I was thinking of trying to pick up a stock dp from the junkyard, for a model for him to build me a 3" dp

It will not preform as good. Most shops just have a crush bender like us and the vendor down pipes are mandrel bent.

That's an assumption, mandrel benders are common now. Most muffler shops around here have them and advertise custom pipe bending.

Maybe in Ft. Atkinson or where ever your at...but I can count (and it isn't even 5) of how many people in the KC area or rural areas around KC that don't do crush bent exhaust piping. My exhaust guy doesn't even have a mandrel bender...I wish.

just had a slap in the face moment when i read a thread that basically said if you get a 3in dp/ubend delete it lowers your boost level? do i understand this correctly? so would getting this, right now, improve anything for the car aside from better exhaust flow?3.4 will be coming at the end of summer. just curious about the effects now...

better flow equalls lower boost psi since the air actually flows better and has somewhere to go faster
a DP is always a good mod unless going headers since they have there own dp

lower kr yes gain a couple horses maybe Better flow equals lower kr on these engines

if your not going the header route or not modding very far its a good mod as a first

Fort is a small town, my point is call around someone will have a mandrel bender. Or buy some mandrel bends and make your own.
