My mods are in my sig. I just had the dp and plog installed about 3 weeks ago. The other day, my car developed an exhaust leak. Thinking the leak was at the joint of the dp and resonator to check it out, I put the car up on the lift and found that where the heat shield is welded to the resonator, at the front tack weld on the passenger side, the resonator is rusted through. I'm stuck between having a straight section of pipe welded in place of the resonator, or a glass pack muffler of some sort. I'm wondering what the loudness difference would be between a straight section of pipe and a glass pack or something else if anyone has any suggestions. I don't want the car too loud and I have factory mufflers. A little louder is OK. A lot louder, isn't. If anyone has any input, it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Find the longest one you can. 2.25" is the size of the pipe.

Glass pack for sure.. Put one on my car and it gave it a lot nicer tone, and it quieted it down a bit to which is weird because I thought stock would be more restrictive...

I have magnaflows and i think they sound good. Definately get a glasspack in place of the resonator. I need to get a longer one my car is quite loud in the cab.

I like the magnaflow system with the 2.5 inch pipes, stainless steel resonator/mufflers and it sounds really good on a 60 degree V6, no experience on the 90 degree V6, but everyone says that on the 3.8, the aftermarket systems don't sound as good. Just an FYI on the magnaflow system for the W body cars, GMPP GMpartsdirect.com sells their system, for $450 complete, and it is a total magnaflow system. I know since I bought my system from them and found out AFTER I received it that it was all magnaflow, not advertised as such.
