Ok so i have both a JP Double Roller Set with the Rolon chain from INTENSE and a Rollmaster Double Roller Set with the JWIS chain from ZZP. Both the crank gears from the sets have the same chamfer. I thought that was the whole issue with all the chains snapping with the JP sets? A guy on ClubGP told said this, "The chamfer is not the problem people like to belive it was. It is the spaceing on the teeth on the cam gear. Lay the chain around both gears and the difference should be noticable."

I dont get it. From what ive seen there are no failures with the Rollmaster. I set both gears on top of eachother and there doesnt look to be any difference in spacing on the teeth.

Which chain is the better one out of eachother? The Rolon or JWIS?

people have broken both chains, just so you know. also, if the problem is the cam gear, why have more people not chewed up their cams?

the are both the same set, im telling you. they are both double wide chains with a two piece crank gear set. so long as you make sure everything is right then it should work just fine.

and if you know a machine shop, take in the chain with the crank and cam gears and have them MAKE a gear set for you. that way it will be exactly like stock, but with a beefy chain.

single chain breaks 100 times more often than a double roller. the single chains are worse than the stock chain.

So no JPP single chain for my S1X install? Get a stock replacement? Any vendor referral?

stock chain is okay for 105 springs but anything heavier and you better figure out how to make a double work

i've been running a JP for over 20,000 miles and i don't trust the damn thing at all. it seems like every month you read about another one breaking. i need to get a stock chain in very soon
