will does a awesome job with his pcm's . basically it is custom for your car and what you have done to as close as can be without actually having your car on his tuner . i just got mine last friday and installed it on sat. thing is awesome . he also make a nice fender wall intake .
thanks and yea they look awesome. deff gonna pick me up one soon. the FWI looks nice but i have a series III. i dont think i saw one for that. and on that note i had a custom one and for daily driving it seemed to get pretty dirty. but maybe it comes with a shield for that. i dont know.
thanks for the help!
good luck with your purchase! both are great products!!!
just e-mail will @ overkill and ask him if he makes a fwi for your model . i know he is only making a couple more before he discontinues them so he is selling them at a great price right now . anyways e-mail him with any questions you might have he is a great help with any question you might have .
Just curious how this PCM compares to a ZZP PCM. I already sent them my core to be programmed, but if there's something better out there I may consider it one day.
I have no first hand experience, but from feedback of others that have gone from ZZP or DHP to Overkill, they have all said there was a noticeable increase. Overkill is the only one who still works to improve his tunes. Recently he started shipping version 3.0 of his tunes that have new improvements. DHP and ZZP haven't changed theirs to my knowledge. Overkill gives you a 50% discount if you send in a ZZP or DHP PCM as a core. Keep that in mind.
Yeah!! I'll have to talk to him. I'm going to run my ZZP for a while and see what I think. I bought an Intense PCM from PitchBlackSS for my core so I have my stocker to run on if I have to.
After looking through his site, he doesn't appear to offer a L36 PCM.
He has them on the N/A page. :: Overkill Motorsports :: <-- Click on that link.
"Overkill L36 PCM - $169 + $75 refundable core charge "
That's what I get for speeding through and not really reading. I just scrolled down looking for a pic of a PCM (like in the L67 section). I'll learn one day.
And thanks.
Edit: And I think the ZZP will be good until I get more situated with my mods. That way I can send him a complete list of what I have.
will does retuning to your pcm for $50.00 . why would you want to waste $100 on a zzp pcm rather then spend a extra $60-70 and get something that is hooked up for your car better than the zzp ? just wondering . e-mail will and ask him any questions you have seriously i was thinking of going with zzp too but i am beyond happy that i went with will . he will take care of you . he will set up your pcm for all your future mods if need be . anyways enough ranting for me just e-mail him .
THe PCM Fixes the Knock retard for Smaller pully too right? I worte to him and he told me about 50 bucks for retunes too that does not sound bad. and he said that well here is the body of the email
We take your modifications into account. I've tuned a couple hundred GPs in-car, and only in the last year or so have I offered mail tunes as the settings for different combinations have been developed with experience.
You supply a modification list, you'll recieve a PCM tune for them inclusive with the price, never an extra charge. As retunes are required down the road, they're just $50 each time, shipping inclusive.
Any questions, please do email
regards
- Will
Well, I only spent $50 on my ZZP PCM since I sent them my cat from my old downpipe. I'm going to give the ZZP PCM a chance once it gets here. Believe me, I have nothing against sending it to Will (other than having to run on the stock tune again while its gone). If I'm going to spend the extra money (seeing how I already paid for the ZZP, shipped it to them, and its with them right now getting tuned) on Will's, I want to feel the ZZP so I can appreciate the difference later.
lol im thinking about going to overkill for some help on my gtp
