I am going to be getting a downpipe from zzp. I need to know which would be a better idea (make my car run better performance-wise) and if both will just bolt right up to stock manifolds. Also, should i spend the extra fifty bucks and get the 304ss, or will the mild steel be fine for me?

3" downpipe. you dont need stainless, the mild steel should last quite a long time without you having to worry about it. both will bolt right up to the stock manifold.

I thought zzp's were aluminized? This is better than just super cheap stuff and wont rust through that fast. Go 3" though no matter what.

the pipe on the back side of the resonator rusted off and so he was running on just a resonator.

On mine I've got some nice rust right at the Y (pieces flaking off) and just after the resonator (not nearly as bad there) so having a shop fix me up with some cheap mandrel bent would be nice if that ever decides to go. Auto stores seem to sell I've also got the typical "when my car runs, rust runs out of the exhaust and stains my exhaust tips" thing going on. Driving cars in Canada is awesome.

$172 here for your standard crapily bent pipe from the resonator to the mufflers.

Edit: WOW, $411.26 for a stock downpipe...
