Hey all. I recently replaced my plugs and wires with autolite 104's and the autolite wires. The only mods on my car right now are a k&n CAI, and a 180* tstat. I've got headers/flexpipe/high flow cat that is going to be installed in the next couple weeks. A friend of mine was following me and he said that when I stepped on it that he could really smell the exhaust from my car and that it smelled really rich. I haven't been through an entire gas tank yet to figure out my gas milage but if I had to guess i think it's lower than my stock plugs/wires.

    Any advice/opinions?

It probably just needs a tune but it wouldn't hurt to go back to stock heat range with those mods, AL605's. Stick in the 104's after you drop a pulley size.

Thanks for the quick response. Yup a tune is on the list after the exhaust work. I'll go pick up some new plugs tonight. Do I gap the AL605's at .055 as well?

You are going to run rich no matter what. Just the nature of a stock tune. Plugs don't make a difference with that.

But going back to stock plugs won't hurt a bit. But neither will leaving the 104s in there. Don't waste the time and money.
