On saturday is there anything tricky about the pull to watch out for

I left the trans B!tch bolt out when i put the trans in so it wont be an issue

So its just disconect all electrical, drain oil and coolant, dogbones, engine mount , dp from rear manifold, and fuel rails
im sure theres a couple tricks or ways of easing the proccess

Then it will be cleaned up disassembled and the lower end goes to a awesome engine build and i get to start my build

I think he talking about that one bolt by the Transmission that you can get out but you can't get back in. It on the motor mount toward the firewall.

Put a jack under the passenger side part of the tranny and just tilt it up a bit to get the engine to come out and in easier also take the nuts off of the top of the engine mount. Take bolts out holding the tranny to engine near diff. Take torque converter bolts off, starter off. Take off power steering pump, take the A/C compressor off and move both out of the way. Disconnect heater hoses, radiator hoses, tb cable, all electrical connections, take oil filter off to give a little extra room to clear engine bay. Do something with the rear manifold, either disconnect at head and crossover and let it hang there or take the dp bolts out and go that way.

Yea the bolt on the backside of the bellhousing, I have the extension for it at school but not at my house. And i know the bracket near the oil pres sensor is a bastard but i got it out before..
Every one else in clas is bringing in little 4bangers or presmog sb chevys Im the only one bringing in a newer comp controlled engine

The last class only had 1 group finish and drive out 2 groups seized there engines after 45 sec run time

The engines out Wasnt bad at all took like 3 hours and not at a rushed pace
Only bad thing that happened was the parts tray i was useing flipped and mixxed all my nuts and bolts up so Im not happy about that

Hopefully we will have its broke down to almost nothing tomorow and the block will be sent out to the machine shop by friday

If you have questions as to which bolts go where, post them up in groups with numbers and most of us can tell you what they are.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

you gotta pull the axles and tranny fluid lines, but thats about it. if you dont need to then leave the transmission there.
