First off, I will be getting a 3.4 MPS and a PCM. I am going to for now get an off the shelf DHP tune through 3800performance.com My question is what is the difference between the 1.0 file and the 1.5 version? My other question is does anyone have anything negative to say about the DHP programs at all? I know it is the best all around, but are there any downsides to this at all? Is this the 1.0 version that I would be getting from 3800performance or is it the 1.5? If anyone has gotten one of these recently(DHP through 3800performance) please let me know your experiences good, bad, or otherwise. Thanks.

V1.5? Where is that at? 1.0 is fine.

There has never been any complaints about a DHP in the history of their what...7 year+ run? Best tune out there mail order wise...the trick is they don't change really THAT much stuff.

well i just threw an intense pcm in there, but its not much diffrent than stock. so yea first tune. still on the stock pulley.

i do like the 6k hard shifts from the intense tho. dont think it has skip downshifts.

hopefully the tranny will hold up till tax season, tep here i come

dhp1.5 is mostly for cars modded past your basic 3.4 setup...
more fuel is added, more timing, just more aggressive all around. Its available off the powrtuner site probably because most people who run the file will use it as a base file and scan and adjust from there to make sure it is not unsafe.

blowfisRus6, if you email me the 1.5 file I can compare it to the 1.0 file and let everyone know what the difference is.

Open your email, type in my email address in the "To:" section, find the button that says "A", and add the .bin file. Then click "send" and I should get it.

the 1.5 is a worse base tune than the 1.0 is. it is meant to be a starter file when youre starting to tune with the powertuner.

That is certainly how it looks. Most everything I can see in HPT is different, although most of it is only a little different. The Spark tables look stock in the 1.5. Otherwise, 1.5 appears more aggressive almost everywhere.

OK.......so the 1.0 version is what I would be getting from 3800performance then I would assume? Does that do anything at all to change the settings in the cruise cells to improve MPG? Does it do anything at all with the performance shift button to change anything from standard driving mode to the perf shift mode? Thanks for the help again...

There is very little change to the spark tables, only 1-2° in the mid airmass section. That will have no appreciable impact on MPG. The better option is to get the '04+ timing table in there, as that is a noticeable improvement. Shift pressure, time, and RPM points are all bumped a bit.
